A rich tapestry of exquisite string music spanning 250 years performed by the exceptional London Symphonia Strings, including Mozart’s String Quartet No. 8 arranged for string orchestra, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, Mohave Dreaming by Paul Frehner and Three Preludes by conductor Matthias Maute interspersed between the movements of the quartet. Each work evokes images of summer nights under the open sky. Dedicated to the artistry of the late Geoff Nuttall, a Founder of the St. Lawrence String Quartet, one of Canada’s foremost performing ensembles. Matthias Maute conducts.
