Co-curated by Laura Chambers, London Symphonia’s principal flute and soprano Midori Marsh, this captivating concert presents songs tied to the phases of the moon, from opera to art song to the dazzling shapeshifting music, including, Donizetti’s “Mad scene” in Lucia di Lammermoor, Dvořák’s famous “Song to the Moon”, Sondheim’s “Soon” from A Little Night Music, and surprising new discoveries such as the techno pop power anthem This Is My Hand by My Brightest Diamond. Performed with an ensemble including string quartet, flute, harp, and percussion.
